Planning your event
Planing an event can be fun and exciting, however it can also be intimidating. Questions arise you are unsure how to answer and unexpected things always come up that you have to navigate.
With over 10 year helping to plan big events that have over 3,000 people at times, we are able to help you plan your next event. No matter the size we can help you have the best party, festival, outreach, fun day etc. We are always ready to help you with you plans. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
1. Location
- First thing to do is choose the location. The ideal location is a big open area free of any debris. Rocks, sand, stick, dog feces etc can all damage a unit and take away from the event you are planning.
- The location can be indoors or outdoors. Please let us know if it is anywhere other than grass so we can prepare.
Access to your location is important for us when we setup the equipment. - Indoor locations may require a double door access with no center post. The same needs to be considered for fenced in outdoor locations. Please also take into consideration if there is a big hill or step. It is possible we will not be able to get any units into places with big hills or steps. Some units can weigh close to 1,000 lb!
- Distance for us to complete the setup will be important. For larger events we may need to pull the trailer on the property or near the spot for setup.
- Most residential properties we may not need to drive on the property.
- Inflatables cannot be set up on a rock, sand, or bare dirt surfaces. It also cannot be placed in overgrown area such as tall weeds etc. It is best to have the property mowed several days before the event to give grass clippings a chance to disappear. (Bagging the lawn before a event is ideal)
- We do prefer open flat grass areas. We can setup on hard surfaces, but the wind tolerance will be much less.
- If your location is on public or rented property, such as a park, school, or event center, you will need to have permission from the owner of the property and be away of were the underground utilities are.
- Items cannot be near any open flame or extreme heat areas that may melt and damage the vinyl.
- This includes fireworks! Do not allow any fireworks to fall onto the units. Any damage to any unit is the responsibility of the renter and could result in paying for repairs or total replacement of the units.
- The location will need to be within general distance of the required electricity needs.
2. Electricity
- We prefer the power source to be under 50′ away from the rental item. But can be up to 100′ in some situations.
- We will need to know in advance if it is over 50′ away.
- Each blower will run around 10 amps on a standard outlet. If the outlet has a 20 amp breaker we can run two blowers on that outlet.
Some of the larger inflatables do use 2 blowers - Some houses have many outlets on one breaker. This will neeed to be considered when plugging in a blower on the same breaker as kitchen appliances or other large electrical items.
- You can use generators however we may not have them with us at the time of setup, unless you arranged to rent one from us. These generators will need to use the same calculations as regular outlets. Each blower is 10 amps (1200 Watts). If the generator is 5000 watts and only has one 20 amp outlet it will not be suitable for more then 2 blowers. Generators must also be grounded.
3. Water
- Some of our units allow for water, such as the water slides or combos. The location of the water source will be important in relation to the setup area.
- You will be required to supply water hoses to the rental items from the water source.
- It will only require a standard garden hose. You may run the hoses as long as you need to reach the item.
4. Supervision
- All inflatables and games will need to have adult supervision at all times!
- One adult per inflatable.
We do offer staffing services for events. Contact us in advance if you need staff people.
All of the rules will be explained at the time of delivery and can also be found on the inflatables. - Supervisors will be in charge of the guest safety and be sure they follow the rules.
- It is very important to have an adult person stand next to each unit and monitor the unit following the specific rules for that unit. Contact us if you have any questions.
5. Delivery
- We will coordinate the time setup. Setup times vary from 20-45 minutes for smaller events up to 1 1/2 hours for large events.
- On the day of the event we will need to meet the person who will be signed the rental agreement. All payments and signed rental agreement is required at least 24 hours in advance.
- Once setup is complete we will meet again and with anyone the contract signer designates to supervise. We will go over the rules and requirements again and answer any questions.
6. Completion
- Once the event is over, ask the guests to exit the inflatable.
- You will need to visibaly check the equipment for any belongings and make sure everything is clean.
- Turn off the water to the unit, then once everyone has cleared out, visibly look to see, cleaned, and dried we suggest you unplug the power source and let the inflatable deflate. This is important if the unit will be left unsupervised.
- Please have the unit on when we arrive so we can inspect and clean the unit.
- We will arrive and take care of the pick up. Usually in the same time frame as the setup. 20 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the size of the event and our staff onsite.
